WHO WILL PROVIDE? was a group exhibition featuring 35
site-responsive works, including my
community-based project,
I Am Here Too (2018). In addition to the submitted piece, personal
contributions included assistance on drafting a press release, installation and deinstallation.
The show was an opportunity to experiment with a relational approach while attempting to respond to a site-specific theme. It was also a chance to develop practical skills in organising an art show in collaboration with peers.
Furthermore, the specific context of this project helped foster professional qualities, from effective time-management throughout production, to maintaining agility with variable factors such as logistics, curation and external input.
The overall experience was useful in gaining insight into the development, organisation and management of an exhibition. It also illuminated some potential for the practice, particularly with participatory projects, installation-based pieces, process-driven ideas and the possibilities of ready-mades.
